November 12^th was the 2016 Ithaca Kids Book Fest and the Coddington Road Community Center was honored to participate in this wonderful annual event.  We offered a fun craft project table and our activity was a hit with lots of attendees stopping by to showcase their artist talents.

If you are unfamiliar with the Ithaca Kids Book Fest or the Family Reading Partnership, we encourage you to check them out!  Each year, organizations select a book based on the yearly theme and plan an activity or craft project around that book.  This year’s theme was nature.

At Coddington, we selected “Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf,” by Lois Ehlert as our favorite book.  To accompany this wonderful book, we offered q-tip painting.
