Work Together Wednesday is one of our favorite Week of the Young Child days. At the Coddington Road Community Center, we love teamwork. Our children, teachers and classrooms often work together. Whether it is group play on the playground, a science experiment in the classroom, building a bug hotel in the woods or working together to take care of Coddington, the result of that teamwork and collaboration is wonderful to witness.
Although we can’t celebrate in person, we hope that our families will enjoy Work Together Wednesday at home. Whether you enjoy a backyard scavenger hunt, make dinner, build a fort with couch cushions, build a Lego tower or organize a toy room together, we would like to see your pictures or hear all about it; please share!
To learn more about the benefits of playing together, please read The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) article titled “How to Support Children’s Approaches to Learn? Play with Them!”
