Red Cross Babysitter Training Class a Success!
The Coddington Road Community Center and the American Red Cross hosted a Babysitter Training Class on Saturday, March 25th. The class was taught by a certified Red Cross Instructor.
Designed for youth aged 11-15, the Red Cross Babysitter Training Class is a great way for your child to prepare for starting their own babysitting business! Whether it is babysitting a few nights here and there or babysitting daily for a family this summer, your children will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to be successful on the job.
Just a few of the many topics covered in Saturday’s class included: basic first aid, what to do in minor emergencies, caring for children of all ages (diapering, feeding, age-appreciate activities), understanding the milestones and behavior of children, finding work, interviewing the family, leadership skills and on-the-job safety (personal safety, inspection checklists, emergency weather readiness, etc) and more!
At this time, our April 8th class is at capacity. The Coddington Road Community Center is currently working with the American Red Cross to add an additional class. To be added to a wait list, please contact Jennifer Dean at jenniferd@coddingtonroad.org.

2016 Fall Festival a Success!

The weather may not have worked out in our favor, but the 2016 Fall Festival was still a success. We are so thankful to all our staff, families, board members and community members who braved the cold, rainy weather to come spend the afternoon with us. We truly appreciate your dedication to Coddington and the Fall Festival.
We decided to move many of our activities inside to accommodate for the poor weather. Some of the day’s most popular activities included Amazing Pete Balloons, Spooky Science with Matt, Beauty Salon with Claire and the Cake Walk.
Of course, what would the Fall Festival be without our amazing fall raffle?! Thank you to all the businesses who pledged their support to the Coddington Road Community Center with their raffle donations. Thank you!
